We love cheese!

Took a trip yesterday to the VT Farm Show (fun, the kids enjoyed greatly!) and then continued on to the Cabot Creamery (Cabot cheese!!) manufacturing plant and visitor's center--very fun and informative! My husband, who is crazy for cheese, was thrilled. What a fun day!!

Cute and easy skirt :) made from a woman's denim skirt (which I got from a yard sale , but hated it on--) and a piece of an old curtain that I had trimmed to be shorter. So--CHEAP ("thrifty") too! Oh, and took less than an hour to make!

Rockets!

We made this cheap-o air rocket launcher for the kids for Christmas--they are loving it!! (So are we!) The instructions were from here: www.sciencetoymaker.org/airRocket/index.html

It was a very easy, inexpensive launcher to make (like less than $10) and not even an hour of work to make it. The kids make their own rockets from things from your recycling bin (following the instructions) and then launch them! The propellant is the air from a 2L pop bottle. They really fly VERY high!!! Higher than our roof, up to tree level! It is fun for the kids and the adults alike!

Ahhh, a burst of sunshine in our day! :)

I don't usually hang laundry out in the winter, since it's such a pain, wet and cold, but oh, the smell of clean outdoors dried sheets! Everyone got a kick out of the stiff-as-a-board fabric, lots of laughs throughout our day.
