(I have knee problems where it doesn't really sit into the place it should after a car accident). We all need to get up and do something to get healthy so great job.Kathy Felsted Usherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10471923897561942341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2352447213339922283.post-51075849380704412382012-12-29T07:55:11.029-08:002012-12-29T07:55:11.029-08:00Yay for you Sheila! By intervals, I mean that I don't walk the same pace or with the same stride for the entire distance. I use long, power/push strides for a while, then shorter, faster strides and sometime some running. My routine is six days a week, 4-5 miles per day. I've been a power walker for 30+ years, most of my life. I do it because it is necessary!
I have walked breast cancer events of 20+ miles per day for a three day event, plus many other similar events.
It is not only for my physical well-being, but my mental, emotional and spiritual health as well. I de-stress, ventilate emotions, pray, sing . . . whatever I need to do at the moment. It's a lifetime commitment for me and I think it has had a lot to do with my good health all my life. So, as you can see I'm certainly an advocate!
Gotta keep moving!
Thanks for sharing!
CJCeeJayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02061020299953755876noreply@blogger.com
